Navigating the Healthcare System is a two-hour online workshop designed to empower you with relevant, current, and necessary information, so you can feel confident in your caregiver role.

Trying to understand the Alberta health-care system can feel overwhelming. With so many different moving pieces, terms, and roles, it’s no surprise many caregivers feel confused and unconfident. Not to mention, you have numerous priorities outside of your caregiver responsibilities, and you don’t have time to search for the information you need.

In this free workshop, you’ll learn how to:

  • Access the right information at the right time, so you can save time and energy
  • Identify your loved one’s needs through the Carer Support Needs Assessment Tool (CSNAT)
  • Implement the CSNAT approach and learn how it’s used to determine specific supports for caregivers
  • Understand the differences between care facilities within the health-care system
  • Examine the different caregiver roles and determine their functions within the health-care system
  • Examine Alberta Health Service’s care system

Taught by an experienced health-care professional, this workshop will help you navigate the health-care system and provide better care to your loved one.

Join us for this FREE, online workshop taught by health-care professionals. You’ll also have the chance to connect with other caregivers and have your questions answered.
