The tight knit vocal harmonies, high energy entertainment, and vintage beats with modern heat will have the audience shaking with excitement! TWO rhythm sections! FOUR singers! 13 horn players! What more could you ask for in a season closer that’s as much a party as a show? The Don Berner Big Band is the city of Edmonton’s flagship large jazz ensemble. An Edmonton jazz favourite for over a decade, the Don Berner Big Band became the first professional large jazz ensemble in Edmonton to have a fully programmed concert season in 2021. Featuring Edmonton’s best jazz musicians, the Don Berner Big Band presents an eclectic season drawing from classic big band and swing repertoire, collaborations with contemporary and pop artists, adaptations of works from other mediums, and more with a variety of special illustrious guests, all presented in the acoustically stellar Triffo Theatre in Downtown Edmonton!
