Sing, Drum and Dance Together with Garth Prince
Saturday, June 21, 2025
1:30pm to 2:00pm
21
Open to the public and all who joined us this season. Come say Hello, Goodbye and Celebrate the Journey together.
Join us for the end-of-season concert at the Old Strathcona Performing Arts Centre in Partnership with The Cosmopolitan Music Society.
We'll begin the evening with a 15-minute set by our adult community choir, created for you (Yes, YOU can still join us). This group is open to parents, teachers, and any adults who want to sing. No experience is needed. If you can attend one or two sessions in May or June, you are welcome. There is a small (waivable) fee to participate in choir sessions (rehearsals), and choir singers will receive free admission to the concert!
After the choir, Garth Prince and his band will lead a 45-minute performance filled with music, storytelling, and audience participation. You will be invited to sing and dance along to tunes you know AND some unreleased surprises.
Then, we'll invite everyone to join in 15 minutes of live drumming and shakers with the band. Followed by a meet and greet with Garth and his team to wrap up the evening. As per the students' request, this is an excellent opportunity to get a Garth Prince autograph or a copy of the children's book.
This concert is open to the public and especially for anyone who connected with us during the 2024 2025 season. Whether you took part in a program, supported someone who did, or simply want to reconnect, you are invited to come celebrate with us!
