Plant trees and shrubs with us at kihcihkaw askî! Bannock, tea, cultural performers and community exhibitors. Plant giveaway!

Root for Trees, in partnership with the Indigenous Knowledge and Wisdom Centre is hosting a tree planting event. You will be invited to plant trees, shrubs, grasses and flowers native to the surrounding land. This is an inclusive event- all are welcome! Cultural performers will share drum and song. Bannock and tea will be available for the first 150 people.

June is National Indigenous History Month and honors the histories and diversity of Indigenous Peoples. Root for Trees encourages Edmontonians to celebrate and learn by participating in this event- please invite a friend!

*Please note NO PARKING on site- see below!

*Planting is not required- you are welcome to come and enjoy

*This event includes a plant give away- you can take a tree, shrub or wildflower to plant at your or a friend's home.

Wear closed toed shoes if you want to plant!
