RISER Edmonton is a collaborative producing model for theatre and interdisciplinary artists to create and present new work. RISER Edmonton has supported 3-5 projects and companies per year since the program’s inception in 2022.
Starting in 2024, RISER shifted to a two-year model. Current RISER artists end year one with a work-in-process presentation, then end year two with a premiere run at one of four awesome Edmonton festivals: RISER, Azimuth Theatre’s Expanse Festival, the SkirtsAfire Festival, or the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival!
The 2025 RISER New Work Festival is your chance to catch these shows before they hit stages across the city in 2026.
