In-person Community Politics

What's on your mind, municipally speaking?

May 14, 2025 to June 15, 2025

More Information
Organized by: Taproot Edmonton

Come chat with your fellow Edmontonians about what matters when you consider your vote in the coming municipal election.

The Taproot team will walk you and other participants through an introvert-friendly process to dive deeper into the issues we've heard about so far in the answers to our election question: What do you care about as you consider who to vote for in the 2025 municipal election, and why?

Your input at one of the five sessions we have planned in May and June will help us figure out what questions to put to candidates, which in turn will help us build the matching engine that will help you determine who aligns with you best.

WHAT TO EXPECT

After a brief look at what Taproot did in 2021 and what we're aiming to do this year, we'll send you into virtual break-out rooms to help us understand what you want the candidates to have a stance on, and why.

Once you register, we'll ask you to rank the topics we've heard raised so far. We'll assign a breakout room to each of the most popular topics. You'll be able to circulate through a few rooms before we wrap up.

Taproot will have a representative in each room to get the conversation going with some questions. You can participate in the discussion out loud or make your views known on a jam board (a virtual bulletin board to pin your thoughts on).

Your anonymous input will help inform our candidate survey. We'll also invite you to submit your contact information if you're open to being interviewed for a Taproot story.
