NorthwestFilmFest, in collaboration with Alphabet Soup Queer Bookstore, The Book Archive and Audreys Bookstore, is hosting a Banned Book Fair!

In honour of the film The Librarians (screening 2:15pm - 3:45pm May 11th), we want to draw attention to the need to continue to have access to books of all kinds, particularly those that are under target by many governments. This includes, but is not limited to, books by queer, black, indigenous and trans authors, books whose content highlights issues like race, gender, sexuality and feminism, and children's books that are perceived by some to be offensive. Join us at the NWF to celebrate local bookstores who are committed to keeping your bookshelf liberated.
