Joel Jeschke is a sought-after drummer and composer not bound by genre. Having performed and recorded with countless artists including rock bands such as Royal Tusk (MNRK Records) and Whale and the Wolf, to modern jazz artists; Aretha Tillotson, Stephanie Urquhart Quartet and Brett Hansen.

Joel now turns his attention to his debut album as a composer and bandleader on Time & Place.

Jeschke’s debut album called “a very high level contemporary jazz album” by Pan M 360, is a study in balance, asymmetric time signatures gently tempered by an unpronounced visceral pulse and manic dissonance consoled by lonely melodies.

This record tenderly navigates a harsh landscape by vacillating between polar states. As the frustrated on-the-verge-of-an-epiphany chaos of “The Number Twelve” challenges you with madness, it soon departs and you are comforted, with solemn introspection in “Song For When It Rains”. Beyond everything else, these works speak deliberately, with a desire to be heard, and understood. Even while wandering, Joel’s musical voice ventures towards the unknown, in hopes of making a point-not-yet discovered.

“Time & Place establishes Jeschke as a composer who can successfully merge tradition with innovation, creating music that feels both grounded and progressive.” -All About Jazz

Our live Tuesday Jam is hosted by a musician and a band while audience members join in on the fun by jamming along on stage.
