Advanced Caribou Tufting Sunday One Day Class
Sunday, April 13, 2025
10:00am to 3:00pm

Join us for an afternoon workshop with Carmen Miller, Metis Artisan, to learn the traditional art of Caribou Tufting.
Carmen’s work typically reflects her love of Metis floral designs. She has taught extensively in Alberta, Canada’s North and Eastern Canada. Some of her achievements include being a participating artist in a museum display, Traditional Arts award winner at the Great Northern Arts Festival, and an Artist’s Choice award at the Adaka Cultural Arts Festival. To see her stunning art creations visit her website at www.carmenmillerart.com
Tufting produces three-dimensional images by stitching and trimming bundles of selected hair on a backing. This art form is another example of the Indigenous value that nothing goes to waste.
Participants must have tufting experience prior to attending this advanced class.
