Learn about the essential tools and information required to track and manage your next production’s carbon output and how to develop an effective sustainable production plan.

This 60-minute virtual workshop is designed to provide film and television producers with the essential tools and information required to track and manage your next production’s carbon output and how to develop an effective sustainable production plan. Sustainable production planning is a newer requirement being implemented by several Canadian broadcasters and funding bodies and this workshop is geared at setting up Alberta filmmakers for success in this space. This course will cover various topics such as:

  • how to track carbon output
  • how to use a carbon calculator
  • building and implementing a sustainable production plan

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER

Stephanie Duckett is an independent production service provider including sustainability consulting and associate producer with Calgary-based independent production company, Fenix Film & Television. She attended both Toronto Metropolitan University (BA, Radio & Television Arts) and MacEwan University (Diploma, Arts & Cultural Management) and was welcomed to the industry working as a producer assistant & post coordinator for Mosaic Entertainment (Caution: May Contain Nuts, S4 & 5) while also completing a CMPA Mentorship. Other credits include: Season 2 of CBC’s PUSH and more recently, she was the production manager/post supervisor and sustainability consultant for a new series premiering in 2025, The Crip Trip.
