Bringing together Métis families and knowledge-holders to strengthen family bonds and create lasting memories.

The Otipemisiwak Métis Government, Children and Family Services Department (CFS) is excited to partner with MP Psychology to bring Métis Mingle: Building Blocks for Family, Well-being, and Culture to the children (6 - 17) and families of the Métis Nation of Alberta.

Métis Mingle: Building Blocks for Family, Well-being, and Culture aims to bring together Métis families and knowledge-holders to strengthen family bonds and create lasting memories, while engaging in a variety of awesome workshops to enhance your energy and well-being!

Childcare is not provided.

Workshops for children ages 6 - 17 will run concurrently with the adults workshops.

Workshops facilitated by MP Psychology will include...

  • Lego Masters Workshop
  • Creative Kids Workshop
  • Mindfulness

Additional activities including...

  • Yoga breaks
  • Beading workshop
  • Morning, lunch, and afternoon snacks provided

To qualify for this FREE of charge program, Métis families must meet all of the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Applicants and their family members must be current residents of Alberta, within 2 hours of the event location.
  2. The family must have Métis children who would be attending between the ages of 6 - 17
  3. Accurate completion of this form by a family member 18 yrs or older.

The selection process will be first-come, first served to all families that apply and meet the eligibility criteria. Completion of this form does not confirm attendance.
