Join us for a timely discussion that will shed light on the future of our cities and their growing influence in shaping Canada’s direction.

Municipal governments play a critical role in our daily lives, handling everything from garbage collection and road maintenance to policing and firefighting. Yet, despite their importance, they often go unnoticed and undervalued for they do. Why should you pay more attention to your municipal government? What key issues will shape the next round of municipal elections, and how might these results influence the evolving role of cities in our country?

With Alberta now a little over eight months away from its next municipal elections, Saskatchewan’s urban elections having just happened last November, and BC and Manitoba midway through their terms with elections in October 2026, now is the perfect time to explore these questions. This webinar will dive into the essential role cities play, the challenges they face, and the opportunities ahead. We’ll focus on the big cities from our three most western provinces while drawing connections to trends across the country, helping you understand where our municipalities are headed and why they deserve your attention.
