Evolving from its early days as an opportunity for Black settlers in the 1920s, Edmonton now proudly stands as one of Western Canada's most populous city for Black inhabitants.

Our story spans continents, extending across the globe. From Oklahoma to Nigeria, Jamaica to Somalia, to Haiti and beyond—it is all a testament to the many influences that have shaped who we are in Edmonton today. We prove that no matter where we come from, we bring our experiences, our music, and our soul with us. For the second year in a row, 5 Artists 1 Love will be featuring the phenomenal 'Melafrique' as our house band, in addition to a number of talented local performers and musicians!
