Experience an ongoing Edmonton Christmas tradition, by joining the Don Berner Big Band for the very best time of the year.

We revisit this fan-favourite show, as The Don Berner Big Band brings you the Christmas music of Ella Fitzgerald and Count Basie in what promises to be an unforgettable evening of hard swinging hits and Christmas classics! Each year audiences fall in love with the Don Berner Big Band Christmas tradition and this year will be no exception, as the DBBB adds a show for TWO nights of this typically sold-out fan favourite!! This project is supported by the Edmonton Arts Council, the City of Edmonton, and the Edmonton Downtown Business Association.

The Don Berner Big Band is the city of Edmonton’s flagship large jazz ensemble. An Edmonton jazz favourite for over a decade, the Don Berner Big Band became the first professional large jazz ensemble in Edmonton to have a fully programmed concert season in 2021. Featuring Edmonton’s best jazz musicians, the Don Berner Big Band presents an eclectic season drawing from classic big band and swing repertoire, collaborations with contemporary and pop artists, adaptations of works from other mediums, and more with a variety of special illustrious guests, all presented in the acoustically stellar Triffo Theatre in Downtown Edmonton!
