Grindstone Theatre School's Sketch Comedy from Improv with Kevin Mcdonald!

Learn from the best! Join "Kids in the Hall's" Kevin McDonald in this unique Sketch Writing workshop! Kevin will discuss how to write sketches, and then students will improvise a scene in groups of 4. After the scenes, Kevin will discuss how to turn the improvised scene into a sketch comedy piece. Kevin will cover how to build up the comedy, build on the characters and create a story for this new sketch you develop together. Students will then redo the scene as a more prepared comedy sketch. At the end of the class, the students will do the improv scenes again and this time, work on their own to make them into sketches. At the end of the workshop, students will perform the scenes for Kevin and receive notes.
