In the 1960s, Jose Maria Sison founded the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and the CPP's guerrilla military wing, the New People's Army (NPA), among other noble and infamous activities that led to the revocation of his Philippine passport in 1987. For the past 35 years since, he has lived in exile.
