On the fifth anniversary of the anti-extradition movement in Hong Kong, “Rather Be Ashes Than Dust” is a documentary filmed by a videojournalist to reflect the movement's beginning and end.

Director Alan Lau said that every scene of gunfire, bullets, blood and tears is real. Many Hong Kong people, including himself, have experienced post-traumatic sequelae as a result. He hopes that the world will remember this history of Hong Kong's democratic struggle. (Language in English; subtitles in both English and Chinese)
