Performing premieres by Emilie Cecilia Le Bel and Ben Whittier, and recent works by Betty Ling, Mari Alice Conrad, and Scott Smallwood.

We are delighted to present Bok Brass in their first full performance at a New Music Edmonton event. Celebrating their 10th anniversary this season, Bok Brass is an extraordinary collective of brass players, and is a really great part of the local music scene. Débuting this group would be special on its own, but what really takes this show to the next level is the brilliant, intergenerational program they will play. At the core will be the results of our recent Edmonton Arts Council-funded creative mentorship: brand new works by emerging composer mentee Ben Whittier, and the mentor, renowned Edmonton composer, Emilie Cecilia Le Bel. These world premieres will be complemented by a dazzling set of works by Edmonton composers Betty Ling, Mari Alice Conrad, and Scott Smallwood
