The Newcomer Centre created the Recognizing Immigrant Success in Edmonton (RISE) Awards in 2003 to celebrate the value that immigrants and newcomers bring to our community and salute the accomplishments of individuals, businesses, and organizations for all they do to build healthy communities through social, cultural, and economic development.

This year's event is much more inclusive and accessible, and we invite you to come join the joyous evening filled with a welcoming reception, live cultural musical performances, exclusive multicultural buffet, inspiring awards program and much more to honour those who are actively strengthening the well-being and growth of Edmonton.
