FREE FUN for families with kids aged 4-12 although everyone is welcome and donations are encouraged!

What: Join us for a summer celebration with our festival-style event Delta Defenders! Big Lake is home to one of only a few birdsfoot deltas in Alberta, so let's explore the wetlands nearby! Do some water testing and aquatic plant ID with Alberta Lake Management Society. Play a habitat matching game with Wagner Natural Area. Check out the amphibian station hosted by Alberta Amphibian and Reptile Conservancy and examine the watershed model brought by the North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance.

Weather Details: Will run rain or shine - please dress for the weather. In the event of extreme weather, notice of cancellation will be posted on our Facebook page and in the Facebook Event Discussion.

Registration Details: Registration is completed on-site. We can only accommodate a limited number of families at these events. Be sure to arrive early to secure your family's spot and have enough time to do all the activities.
