The City of Edmonton is happy to welcome you to a City Farms public event. Join us in growing produce for Edmonton's Food Bank.

Happy International Self-Care Month! The World Health Organization designated this month to raise awareness of and promote self-care practices worldwide. Join us at City Farms on Saturday, July 20th, to celebrate by learning about various self-care and mindfulness practices you can use while gardening and volunteering.

What to Expect: Participants can expect to spend the day outdoors, engaging in hands-on activities. We will be outside for the duration of the event. Please be prepared for a significant amount of walking, as our location is opposite the entrance. Expect to get your hands dirty and be on the move throughout the day.

What to Bring:

  • Water Bottle (please bring lots of water)
  • Packed Lunch
  • Sunscreen
  • Weather-appropriate outdoor work clothes
  • Closed-toed shoes
  • Gardens gloves (if you have them)
  • Sunglasses (optional)

What to Wear

  • Closed-toed shoes that you don't mind getting dirty
  • Full-length pants
  • Hat
  • Jacket / Rain jacket (optional)

Parking: Participants are requested to park at the entrance of Old Man Creek Nursery by the front office. Please carpool if possible.
