The Grindstone Comedy Fest presents a 90 min performance of Stand Up comedy featuring headliner Bruce McCulloch with Dan Hendricken and Bobby Warrener.

Bruce McCulloch

BRUCE MCCULLOCH'S TALES OF BRAVERY & STUPIDITY is a one-man show that moves brilliantly between funny, relatable and surprisingly touching. Using music, stand-up, and storytelling, Kid's In The Hall star, BRUCE MCCULLOCH, takes us on a poetic flyover of his life “pursuing stories” and makes an unspoken agreement with the audience to contemplate the world together. Tales combines Bruce’s knack for funny observations with his humanistic yearnings, looking at the bravely stupid things he’s done - and things we all do - to make sense of our messy lives. From musings about his worldview to a window into his family, Bruce looks at the way we reach outward and inward, and his struggle against his own internal pessimism to see the beauty and joy in life.

Rating: This show contains adult content and is suggested for audiences 18+

FEATURING:

Dan Hendricken

Originally hailing from PEI, Dan Hendricken is one of the top comics to come out of the Maritimes. He cut his teeth in comedy at the Yuk Yuk’s club in Halifax and in just a few short years was featured on CBC TV as part of the Halifax Comedy Festival. Dan has since gone on to tour all over the country as a headlining comic, even performing at the flagship Yuk Yuk's in downtown Toronto. Dan has been seen on CBC TV and heard on CBC Radio (with CBC’s LOL) and has performed on the Halifax Comedy Festival and Hubcap Comedy festival. Fans find Dan charming and hilarious. He draws in the attention of every audience he performs in front of with his charm and likeability and keeps them laughing and entertained the whole time.

Bobby Warrener

Bobby Warrener made his comedic debut at an open mic at only 19 years old. Since then, he has captured audiences around the country with his laid-back style and well written jokes. His often self-deprecating but relatable comedy has earned him spots on JFLNW, Sled Island, and regular rotation in Yuk Yuk’s clubs from Vancouver to Nova Scotia. Watching Bobby perform, you never know what to expect with his often surprising but always hilarious punchlines.
