A special Jazz Festival initiative delivering a genre-fused event of jazz-influenced Hip Hop through live instrumentation and lyricism. With performances by Edmonton’s own K-riz alongside a live band, and his special guests Tea Fannie and Kazmega.

Since the release of his debut album Fresh Air in 2016, K-Riz has truly found his stride at the intersection of hip-hop and R&B, earning admiration from audiences and critics alike. This Edmonton-based dynamo is a rare, multifaceted artist who can rap and sing with equal aplomb, and packs his syllables and vocals with confidence and power. K-riz’s compositions fuse nostalgic funk samples, hip-hop, and R&B interplay with prevalent inflections of dance-music and jazz to create an eclectic and engaging sound in his recordings and on stage.
