The Jacob Do Quartet approaches Black American Music with an authentic, precise, and ambitious perspective, connecting to audiences through the shared human experience.

Utilising the classic saxophone/piano/bass/drums instrumentation, Jacob’s original compositions and arrangements are unified by soundscapes of intensity and vulnerability, contributing to the rich lineage of the saxophone quartet. Jacob channels his creativity from his own lived experiences, combining extensive training with a bold artistic vision. This results in a captivating blend of tradition and contemporary exploration that evokes ferocity, persistence, intimacy, and nostalgia. The band features Jacob Do on tenor saxophone, Josh Krushel on piano, Aretha Tillotson on bass, and Eric Zeller on drums.
