With members all originally hailing from Edmonton, the Simon Williams Quintet is a contemporary ensemble comprised of members who have been playing together for years.

Despite drawing influences from Jazz, fusion, electronic, folk, classical, ambient and rock, their music maintains its own unique identity and memorability, with an emphasis on strong melodies and rhythms. As their primary concept is the culmination of elements from multiple musical styles, the quintet is always committed to creating something new and exciting! The group’s members currently call many cities across Canada home, from Montreal to Toronto to Edmonton and Calgary, and have all studied at some of the country’s best music schools. (MacEwan, Humber, McGill). Their leader, Simon Williams, maintains a membership and following with many projects, including the band Carmine, Nu Engineers, and the Carandang-Pincente jazz orchestra, for which he is a commissioned composer.
