Sean Croal is an upright and electric bassist, as well as a composer, bandleader, and educator. Sean leads his own ensemble whose performances take an eclectic and genre crossing approach to the jazz trio, incorporating baroque, hard-bop, and contemporary jazz.

This ensemble hosts “New Standards”, which is a weekly performance and jam session hosted in Edmonton and features a wide array of musical guests both local and international. This trio featuring Gareth Gilliland on Guitar, and Biboye Onanuga on drum kit has been sharing the stage weekly for over two years here in Edmonton, and has traveled as far as Helsinki playing music together. The trio is excited to be featuring one of Edmonton’s most in demand saxophonists Jacob Do, incorporating his voice into the tight knit trio.
