Ciara Hager, a 26 year old musician born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, performs regularly as an artist and multi-genre freelance musician.

She was a featured performer with her quartet in the Medicine Hat and Calgary Jazzfests, and in 2023 won a Downbeat student award as a musician in the UNT Greenhouse Ensemble. She’s performed as a fiddle player with many Texas country artists such as Kat Hasty, Katrina Cain, and Ryan Glenn and the Honky Tonk Heat. In 2023, she performed backup for Ed Sheeran and Luke Combs at the 2023 Country Music Awards in Frisco, Texas. Hager is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Jazz studies at the University of North Texas, under the tutelage of jazz violin Professor Scott Tixier.
