This presentation explores the intersection of archaeology and social justice, illustrating how archaeological practices can contribute to understanding and addressing historical inequities. It emphasizes the role of archaeology in uncovering the untold stories of marginalized communities and how these findings can challenge prevailing historical narratives.

Throughout this presentation I will attempt to demonstrate the potential of archaeology toinfluence contemporary social justice movements by providing empirical evidence of historicalinjustices. I will also discuss the ethical responsibilities of archaeologists to engage withdescendant communities and the public in a manner that respects and amplifies marginalizedvoices.
