We are pleased to invite you to join us at Fort Edmonton Park as we honor National Indigenous Peoples Day on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 10:00 AM. The celebration will begin with a memorable smudging ceremony and continue throughout the weekend, recognizing and celebrating the history, heritage, traditions, and resilience of Indigenous peoples.

Opening Dance Performance: Julion Pisimohihkew, Grass Dancer

11:30 AM - 12:30 PM | Indigenous Peoples Experience
Wapi Muskwa, Singing teachings, jingle and old fancy shawl dance. Performance includes sharing her story, playing flute, 2 songs of dancing powwow, and 1 song of singing.

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM | Indigenous Peoples Experience
