Join us for NIPD at the AGA!
Join us on June 21 to celebrate the rich cultural heritage, resilience, and contributions of Indigenous peoples to our community and beyond. At the AGA, we are honored to host a day filled with programming, tours, and interactive experiences that highlight Indigenous voices and stories.
We are happy to offer free admission, thanks to the support of the Capital Power Indigenous Art Fund. This event is presented with the support of Bee Clean.
The day begins with opening remarks by Elder Gilman Cardinal followed by a unique public tour highlighting Indigenous artists in current exhibitions. Discover all how creativity, culture, landscape and lived experience intertwine in the works of Dana Claxton, Dwayne Martineau and Alex Janvier. To wrap up your day, join us for a heartwarming screening of the 2022 film Rosie.
