We're excited to invite you to celebrate International Trails Day with the River Valley Alliance in collaboration with the Trans Canada Trail on Saturday, June 1, 2024. This special event is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate the beauty and utility of our beloved trails.

What to Expect:

  • Information Booths: Discover local organizations that play pivotal roles in enhancing our river valley. Learn about their contributions and see how you might get involved or support their efforts.
  • Free BBQ: Join us for a simple, complimentary BBQ from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. It's a great way to meet fellow trail enthusiasts and enjoy some delicious food in the great outdoors.
  • RVA-Led Trail Walk: Starting at 10:00 am, we'll take a guided walk along a scenic portion of the RVA trail. It's a perfect chance to experience the trails firsthand and learn more about our ongoing projects and future plans.
  • Event Details:

  • 9:30 am: Doors open to the public
  • 10:00 am: Optional Guided Trail Walk (Space is limited to the first 40 participants. Please arrive early to secure your spot, and note that a waiver will need to be signed before participating.)
  • 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm: Free Hot Dog BBQ – Enjoy complimentary hot dogs while supplies last! We aim to provide enough for everyone, but availability is based on a first-come, first-served basis.
