There are many facial traits and expressions that unite us and define our collective humanity. In the gorgeous artwork of seven prairie-based Alberta artists, viewers can peer into the eyes of strangers, portraits of those who may or may not look like us.

Through the intentional stare, we can come to appreciate the uniqueness of identity as conveyed by the artists and be inspired to appreciate the myriad of ways that we are both different and alike. This collection of contemporary portraiture will speak to those looking to embrace and redefine the ideas of otherness and beauty through the intimacy of 'gaze.'

Exhibiting Artists: Agatha Chacinski, Amanda Komarniski, Harry Singh, Jose Bilo, Kira Chankasingh, Tere Cuellar, and Yulin Wang.

Curated by Alexis Marie Chute.
