Claudia Dey's play Trout Stanley is set in northern British Columbia, on the outskirts of a mining town between Misery Junction and Grizzly Alley. In this inhospitable setting live two sisters, twins who look nothing alike: Sugar and Grace. It's their thirtieth anniversary, and the news announces the disappearance of a naked dancer, Scrabble champion. While Grace works in the junkyard, Housebound Sugar is surprised by a mysterious drifter named Trout Stanley, a foot fetishist and fake cop, who is searching for the lake where her parents drowned. He quickly becomes caught up in a surreal love triangle.
