Ripcord is a play about two elderly women, Abby and Marilyn, who are forced to share a room in an assisted-living facility for the elderly. Abby is cantankerous and Marilyn is cheerful. Marilyn bets that if Abby can make Marilyn angry, Marilyn will move out, but if Marilyn can scare Abby, Marilyn will get the bed by the window. The secrets among them will almost break these women while simultaneously solidifying their friendship.​
