The Youth STEAM Innovation Challenge (YSIC) is an interdisciplinary competiton for junior high students (grades 7-9) to aim for creative thinking and teamwork skills. You and a partner (you can feel free to pick your partner or we will match you with someone!) will go through 6 different challenges involving science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Each challenge will take around 1 hour, and you will be scored based on your creativity in tackling each challenge. Teams will tackle 3 challenges in the morning, followed by a free lunch, and then take on the other 3 challenges in the afternoon. At the end, awards and prizes will be handed out to congratulate our most creative teams! If you don't win an award, don't worry! Everyone will be going home with a swag bag of free goodies and fond memories of a day full of fun!
