The 13th Annual Alberta Budget Post-Mortem
On 29 February, Treasury Board President and Finance Minister Nate Horner delivered his first budget under a Danielle Smith-led UCP government, the foundational budget for the next four fiscal years. Budgets reveal government priorities and fiscal constraints, they provide estimates for oil and gas prices, and are used by governments to both deliver on election promises and promote benefits of government programs.
