"Different Animals" tells the story of a family navigating grief, connection and climate change. This is a staged reading that will be held on Zoom.
"Different Animals" tells the story of a family navigating grief, connection and climate change. The play opens one year after the mother, Sela, left her family to wander the wilderness of Northern Canada. It follows those left behind, including Sid (her husband), and their children Aerie and Perrin. The characters in this bilingual English-ASL story are Deaf, hard-of-hearing, hearing, queer, straight, transforming, seeking, lost, and being found. They are, in other words, human -- and they're in conversation with each other, with the earth, and with you.
