Winterruption YEG welcomes Waahli with Tariiiq & J Scope.

Waahli is a Montreal artist born of Haitian parents. Raised in a family where music is omnipresent, he is immersed by the traditional Haitian melodies with artists such as Tabou Combo, Coupé Cloué or Manno Charlemagne. He learned to play the guitar on his own. In spite of a great influence of Haitian music, it is with Hip-Hop that he develops his own style.

Tariq Bakir (TARiiiQ) is a multi-faceted vocalist, DJ, and producer from Edmonton, AB. His style is versatile and modern yet shows true appreciation and acknowledgments of the roots and foundations. TARiiiQ is built a name for himself through his "true school" boom-bap tracks with fierce bars and jazzy aesthetics. But don't pigeonhole him to that as he has a vast variety of unreleased tracks spanning from trap, downtempo, psychedelic sounds, and lofi. As he grows and evolves, so does his sound.

J Scope is a talented Hip-hop Artist and a singer hailing from Ukraine with Nigerian roots. He has extensive stage experience and was a quarter-finalist in the Ukrainian National Eurovision song competition. His unique music style, delivery, appearance, and flows have earned him a large fanbase and the opportunity to perform on some of Ukraine's biggest stages Sweden stages and as well as Canadian festivals and events.
