This performance will be the focal point of our anniversary celebrations, held ten years to the week after Chronos Vocal Ensemble's first "full concert" in January 2014 at the Cathedral. We celebrate the history and nascent traditions built by Chronos Vocal Ensemble over ten years of singing while looking to the future in Chronos' signature mix of great works from the choral and new Canadian repertoire. This concert will feature the première of Chosen Family; a major, multi-movement work commissioned from Edmonton composer Stuart Beatch using text by noted Edmonton-born poet John Barton. We look forward to welcoming special guest singers from the choir's past to the stage to form an expanded choir for a grand finale!
